Health Benefits of Eating Boysenberries

by Olabajo Oluwatobiloba  |  in talkabout at  5:41 pm

Health benefits of Eating Boysenberries
Boysenberries might not be stocked regularly in your local grocery store, but it's worth seeking them out. Not only are the berries a good source of vitamin C and potassium, they also contain a host of other essential vitamins and minerals. The way you purchase boysenberries influences how nutritious they are. Fresh and frozen boysenberries are more nutritious than boysenberries canned in heavy syrup because they contain far less sugar.
Fiber
Fresh, frozen and canned boysenberries each supply about 7 grams of dietary fiber per 1-cup serving. The average diet contains only about 15 grams of fiber a day, which is significantly fewer than the 20 to 35 grams recommended for good health, according to the Harvard School of Public Health. Fiber is the part of a plant that can't be digested, so it helps keep your arteries and intestines clear and healthy, which can reduce your risk of constipation, hemorrhoids, diverticular disease and heart disease.
Folate
Boysenberries supply a significant dose of folate, which is a B vitamin that aids in energy production and the formation of cells. The daily recommended intake of folate is 400 micrograms, though pregnant women are often advised to consume between 600 and 800 micrograms because the nutrient can reduce certain types of nervous system and brain birth defects. A 1-cup serving of fresh or frozen boysenberries contains about 83 micrograms of folate, and the same amount of canned boysenberries supplies 87 micrograms.
Vitamin E
Freezing boysenberries retains their vitamin E content, but canning strips the berries of this beneficial nutrient. A 1-cup serving of fresh or frozen boysenberries contains about 1.15 milligrams of vitamin E, which is slightly less than 10 percent of your daily requirement of 15 milligrams. Vitamin E protects your cells from damage, which can reduce your risk of cancer and heart disease. The vitamin also helps make red blood cells and enables your body to make use of vitamin K to clot your blood.
Tips
Opt for fresh or unsweetened frozen
boysenberries because they don't contain added sugar. Added sugar increases your risk of tooth decay and unhealthy weight gain. In comparison, a 1-cup serving of boysenberries canned in heavy syrup can contain more than 20 grams of added sugar. Add fresh or thawed boysenberries to a fruit salad, or puree them into your favorite smoothie recipe. Stir the fresh or thawed berries into bread and muffin recipes, or sprinkle them into low-fat plain yogurt or oatmeal. Use the berries as a healthier alternative to maple syrup on your pancakes and waffles.

Basic: Why you shouldnt sleep with make up on.

by Olabajo Oluwatobiloba  |  in sleeping at  1:54 pm

All girls are guilty of this. Read and get orientated.
- It clogs your pores.
Your pretty face needs to breathe! It’s okay to apply some makeup during the day to pull your look together, but bedtime is when you should be refreshing for a brand new day.
Keeping makeup on your face one night won’t cause your skin to go crazy with breakouts, but if the habit continues it could attract acne-causing bacteria to your pores–yuck!
- It builds up on your pillow.
The more you hit the sack wearing makeup, the more oils, powders and chemicals will build up on your pillow. Over time, this can lead to greasy skin, greasy hair and a very dirty pillow! In fact, whether you wear makeup to bed or not, you should make sure your pillowcase is being washed at least once a month to avoid residue build up.
- It can cause eye irritation.
It’s a real pain when something gets stuck in your eyes. Hair, eyelashes, makeup residue— couldya not!? Sleeping with mascara and eyeliner on can cause the substance to get into your eyes while you’re getting that beauty rest and could lead to severe irritation. If you often don’t have the time to properly wash your face before going to bed, try keeping some makeup remover pads on your nightstand.
- It can cause premature aging.
Throughout the day, your face accumulates a lot of stress. And when you sleep in your makeup, your skin is not given the chance to recover from said stress. This can lead to premature aging, such as the development of fine lines or wrinkles. Wash your face, girl, because you’ll want to keep your skin looking as young and fresh as possible!
- You’ll have extra work to do in the morning.
You may have not had enough time to take off your makeup before bed, but leaving it on means less time for breakfast. We don’t know about you, but having to worry about taking off all of your old/smudged makeup from last night before putting on your fresh makeup is such a pain. By taking off your makeup at night, you’re saving your skin and saving time in your morning routine.
Share to your social networks if this orientated you.

Clues your nails might be giving you about your health.

by Olabajo Oluwatobiloba  |  in nails at  1:40 pm

Are you aware that your nails could give you clues about your health?. Cracking and other stuff could mean something.
Like Problems in the liver, lungs, and heart can show up in your nails. Continue reading to learn what secrets your nails might reveal.
- Pale Nails
Very pale nails can sometimes be a sign of serious illness, such as:
:Anemia
:Congestive heart failure
:Liver disease
:Malnutrition
- White Nails
If the nails are mostly white with darker rims, this can indicate liver problems, such as hepatitis. In this image, you can see the fingers are also jaundiced, another sign of liver trouble.
- Yellow Nails
One of the most common causes of yellow nails is a fungal infection. As the infection worsens, the nail bed may retract, and nails may thicken and crumble. In rare cases, yellow nails can indicate a more serious condition such as severe thyroid disease, lung disease, diabetes or psoriasis.
- Bluish Nails
Nails with a bluish tint can mean the body isn't getting enough oxygen. This could indicate a lung problem, such as emphysema.
Some heart problems can be associated with. bluish nails.
- Rippled Nails
If the nail surface is rippled or pitted, this may be an early sign of psoriasis or inflammatory arthritis. Discoloration of the nail is common; the skin under the nail can seem reddish-brown.
- Cracked or Split Nails
Dry, brittle nails that frequently crack or split have been linked to thyroid disease. Cracking or splitting combined with a yellowish hue is more likely due to a fungal infection.
- Puffy Nail Fold
If the skin around the nail appears red and puffy, this is known as inflammation of the nail fold. It may be the result of lupus or another connective tissue disorder. Infection can also cause redness and inflammation of the nail fold.
- Dark Lines Beneath the Nail
Dark lines beneath the nail should be
investigated as soon as possible. They are sometimes caused by melanoma, the most dangerous type of skin cancer.
- Gnawed Nails
Biting your nails may be nothing more than an old habit, but in some cases it's a sign of persistent anxiety that could benefit from treatment. Nail biting or picking has also been linked to obsessive-compulsive disorder. If you can't stop, it's worth discussing with your doctor.
Though nail changes accompany many conditions, these changes are rarely the first sign. And many nail abnormalities are harmless -- not everyone with white nails has hepatitis. If you're concerned about the appearance of your nails, see a dermatologist.

Story of your Hands, What your hands might be telling you about your health.

by Olabajo Oluwatobiloba  |  in health at  1:04 pm

The Story of your Hands
Imagine your body without your hands, how would it be? It will be boring and sad, and pathetic to say the least. A life without hands is unimaginable, and your hands are
all you have to make and to destroy. What you do with your hands is entirely up to you, your hands manifest the life that you lead. Even better, your hands say a lot
more about you and your health than you can imagined. After all the eating, touching, feeling, typing, writing, flipping books, holding things, and the thousands of other
things with hands, here is a better
understanding of it. Understand what your hands say about you!
- Red Palms
Red palms that remain in that state for a long time indicate palmar erythema, which is a sign of liver disease. The disease means that you have a fatty liver and the nonalcoholic variety, and it is important to note here that if you are pregnant then it is quite normal to have red palms because of increased blood flow. You should visit a
doctor when suffering from red palms.
- Swollen Finger
If you seem to have swelling on your fingers even when you have reduced your salt intake and are not really waiting for your period then you might be having hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism is when your thyroid glands underproduce hormones. These hormones help in regulating your metabolism and to keep your body going properly.
- Bony Outgrowths
If you happen to experience bony
outgrowths on your finger joints then you will face difficulties in hand functions, and it will also make your fingers look pretty deformed. This is a sign of osteoarthritis and these are basically nodules that are joint closest to your fingertips! You will find that as the side bones grow in size the end of your bones would rub together and this will then stimulate the growth of bone spurs.
- Length of the Finger
Your finger's length can tell you about your health condition. A study in 2008 said that women who have longer ring fingers than their index fingers tend to suffer most likely from Osteoarthritis, and in fact this indication is prevalent in males even more distinctly. Having long index fingers mean that women have a higher chance of breat cancer and in men it indicates lower chance of prostrate cancer.
- Thick and Rounded Fingertips
Those having thick and round fingers have health issues pertaining to the heart and the lungs, or so it may seem. Oxygen levels in the body can drop if the circulation system gets impaired. Then it is found that the soft tissues on your fingertip pads grow which results in the thick fingertips. You should visit your doctor.
- Fingertips Tinged Blue/Gray
If your fingertips have a sudden tinge of blue or grey, or if they feel numb then this means that you are suffering from Raynaud's syndrome. Raynaud's syndrome causes sudden temporary spasms in your blood vessels and your arteries. This
syndrome is more common in men that it is in women and it in fact gets worse with cold weather.
- Some Other Intersting Tid Bits
Here we will tell you about some interesting things about your hands, that which you would not have heard from anyone! If your little finger is held apart then this means that you have trust issues. If your top index
finger is bent then this means that you are very much concerned about doing the right thing. Finally, if your index finger is longer then it means that you are a big motivator and if your ring finger is longer then you
seek applause.
You grab?.

Why you should poop everyday and the consequences of not pooping daily.

by Olabajo Oluwatobiloba  |  in poop at  2:23 pm

Lol. According to a bro in my poly, whenever he pollutes hard and everyone talks and insults him, his excuse is always "I didn't poop today".  lol. It sounded true back then. Because me as a person, I poop almost everyday and I hardly fart, even whenever I do, it rarely smells. Lol. So if you are the type that runs from the toilet. You better make it your pal, because it is good for your health.
This research work might orientate you

If you keep your feces for an extra day...
harmful bacteria in your intestine will have more time to multiply. Your immune system has to work harder to control those germs.
And your liver has increased burden of detoxifying the toxins produced by these harmful bacteria. You will have a weaker body and you get tired easily.
What if the same feces stay in your body for 3 days, 5 days and even one week? Imagine the strain you put onto your body!
If you don’t clear out your dustbin for one week, you will be busy wiping away those crawling worms around the dustbin. And I bet you can’t stand those stinking smell! If you still keep the rubbish for a few more weeks,
everyone living there will get sick.
Knowing your inside from the outside
By now, you know how terrifying it is to live with stinking rubbish. However, if you have constipation for a few days, you may not feel
disgusting on the outside. Your feces are inside. So you don’t see it and you can’t smell it.
Fortunately, there are some ways to know what is happening inside your body when you cannot see it. Is it possible? Well, here are the symptoms that show your intestine’s terrible condition.
When you fart, everyone around you faints
When your house has a two-week rubbish and you suddenly open the back door, people standing outside will get the bad smell. So they know your rubbish is ‘overdue’.
When you open your mouth, everyone around you cover their nose with their hand.
And those who are afraid to hurt you will stop breathing for as long as possible. There are many causes for bad breath. And one of them is long term constipation(me, tobeetoe once heard this before from my mum). Now your rubbish at the back kitchen is so smelly. When you open your front door, people standing outside can smell it too.
Your face is full of pimples or acne
Your large intestine stores your feces. But when you keep your feces for too long, more toxins are released. Your small intestine above your large intestine absorbs nutrients.
It will then absorb some of the toxins back into the blood stream. And when these toxins arrive at your face, you will have lots of pimples or acne.
In another words, toxins from your feces are now expelled out through your face! All this is because you don’t poop every day. Besides
your face, if the toxins reach your uterus, you may get abnormal uterus growth or tumor.
That’s why women with constipation are prone to have uterus tumor.
You get angry easily
If you have a few dustbins full of stinking rubbish in your house, can you live in peace?
Can you still lie on the couch and enjoy your favorite TV show? When you have constipation for a few days, you tend to get angry easily over tiny matter. Your body energy seems to
be disrupted when you have poor bowel movement.
Good and Bad Feces
Now you understand the importance of pooping every day. Do you know what the ideal feces are? "Huh? I thought it is fine if I poop every day. The condition of my feces is
important too?"
Yes of course! Remember, you can know your intestine condition by examining your feces.
'Good quality' feces are:
- Not smelly
- Light brown in color
- Soft but not watery
- Long and thick
Just like a banana with different color. And when you clean your anus with toilet paper, there should be very little or no stain at all.
So, you only need one piece of toilet paper.
If you need five, ten or more pieces of toilet paper, lol,  that is not a good sign. And if your feces are the opposite as the one described
above, that is not a good sign either.
The main reason for these conditions is unbalanced bacteria ecology in your intestine.
Harmful bacteria significantly outnumber beneficial bacteria. In the long run, it may lead to all sorts of intestinal problem including colon cancer.
Prolong constipation also causes more accumulated feces in the intestine wall. And your large intestine may become contracted at
certain point. This causes tiny and short feces.

Ehen, hope you got orientated?. Me myself didn't know not pooping can cause mouth odour until I did few research.

Sleeping Positions and Their meaning

by Olabajo Oluwatobiloba  |  in sleeping at  11:43 pm

Let me guess!. The first thought that comes to your mind(if you an ardent THOB reader) is "WTF, repeating posts?. Thought I read this before?".
Oh no reader, you have probably read The best, average and worst sleeping positions not this one.  Ok?
So calm down, chilex and get Oriented!
Professor Chris Idzikowski, director of the UK Sleep Assessment Advisory Service, claim that each person prefers to sleep in some particular position at night, although he/she
may change them during the whole life. It is possible to define what a person is by nature regarding what positions he/she chooses to sleep in. Professor Chris distinguishes 6 main
sleeping positions:
1. Fetus/Thinker : a man is lying on one side curled up; one hand is near a chin. It is the most popular position (41% out of 1,000 people who took part in the investigation prefer it), especially among women. It is a good position for a spine and neck; neither hands nor legs become numb; a man is not snoring; it is very comfortable for pregnant women.
What can be said about the people who like sleeping in fetus position? They usually seem strict and inaccessible from their appearance, but when you get to know them better, you will be pleasantly surprised at their sensitivity, sincerity and warm-heartedness.
2. Log . 15% of respondents prefer this position: a man is on his/her side with back and legs straight and arms on each side.
Such a position reduces a backache and a neck pain at the same time inducing a pain in shoulders and arms.
The people who like to sleep like this are relaxed and sociable; they find a
common language with strangers pretty easily and quickly and aim at being the focus of attention( guessing the name was gotten from"Log of wood" lol).
3. Yearner : a person is on his/her side with the arms stretched out in front of him/her, a back and legs are slightly bent. 13% consider this position the most comfortable for sleeping.
Its shortcoming is that a person can feel pain in a head and back as well as in a shoulder and arm.
The people who sleep like this the most part of the night are open and amicable, but they won’t become the best friends from the very first meeting; at the first stages of your acquaintance, they will be rather suspicious and distrustful.
Also, they are very reasonable; they
don’t like to make hasty decisions– they need some time to think everything over. But when they are done, their decision is final and conclusive.
4. Soldier: a man is flat on his/her back with the arms on each side (8%).
It is considered to be the best position for your back and neck, but a man lying on his/her front is likely to snore.
These ‘soldiers’ are quiet and calm;
also, they always try to reach a new
height working on their self-development.
5. Freefaller (7%): a person is on his/her front with the hands around a pillow.
Because a person’s head is tilted by
90°, there is serious strain on his/her
neck. But they say that such a position is good for digestion.
Freefallers are rather nervous and quick- tempered; they do not stand criticism concerning them; also, they often make impulsive decisions which they may regret about in the future.
6. Starfish (5%): a man is on his/her back with his/her arms up.
This position is a good one because you won’t have wrinkles on your face and skin breakouts in the morning. But it can be harmful for your back and neck.
You’d better put a pillow under your
knees to reduce pressure on them. Also, a man can snore in such a position.
Starfish are very amicable. They are
good friends and listeners; they don’t
like to be in the limelight. Such a
person prefers to help you to be the
focus of a public attention rather than
be it himself/herself.
If you feel pain in your back or neck and your limbs have become numb, it is an alarm sign.
Maybe, you have to change your favorite sleeping position as soon as possible not to get serious problems with health. Moreover, suffering pains in a sleep can be a reason for
a disturbed sleep and nightmares. Try to pay attention to a position you are falling asleep in. Make sure that it is appropriate for you.

Lol. It would have been better if I added pictures. Sorry. You hear?. But, common you went to high school. Practicalize it Jhor. Do the curly stuff. Lol.
Another thing I noticed is your sleeping positions talks about your character too. Hm. Your babe or your crush. You want to know if she's harsh?. Ask for her sleeping position or ask her friend. Lol.

All said and done, hope you got oriented?

Not good, Health workers in Nigeria to go on strike again.

by Olabajo Oluwatobiloba  |  in workers at  12:45 am

ANOTHER round of crisis looms in the health.sector as members of the Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals (NUAHP) yesterday
issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Federal.Government if it fails to meet their demands.
The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) had two weeks ago began a strike action to press for some welfare packages.
Addressing reporters on their plight, the President of the association, Obinna Chimela Ogbonna said the decision to give the ultimatum was arrived at during the 6th triennial delegates’ conference of the union
held in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State last week. Ogbonna, who was flanked by his predecessor in his office, Felix Olukayode Faniran and other high ranked officials of the union lamented that the threat to go on strike became imperative in view of lack of response to the demands of his members by the government.
He insisted that his members across the country would have no option than to begin the strike as from Monday May 28 should the government fail to hearken to their demands which he said had been on the government’s table since year 2009.
The requests included the release of circular to implement an agreement on adjusted salary of all health professionals as done for NMA
members since January, 2014 and payment of arrears on skipping of CONHESS 10 since year 2010 in compliance with a court judgement.
NUAHP members are also seeking for
promotion of their members from CONHESS 14 to 15, alleging that the affected members had spent over 15 years on the grade and the designate the most senior one as Director/
HOD.
While calling for the abolition of the post of Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) which its creation was said to be contrary to law, it canvassed for the
appointment of its members as Chief Medical Directors of various tertiary hospitals rather than skewing the position in favour of medical
practitioners only.
The union also called for the immediate circularization of agreement reached since 2012 on the extension of retirement age from
60 to 70 years as applicable to their University staff counterparts.
While recalling how the last strike ordered by the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) which NUAPH is a member was suspended owing to the plea by the outgoing President
Goodluck Jonathan because of the pending general elections, Ogbonna regretted that the magnanimity of the union had not been reciprocated.
Coughs!. It is well.

How your Environment could be an enemy to your well being

by Olabajo Oluwatobiloba  |  in health at  9:07 pm

Lol. Am guessing the Title is a bit funny, but trust me, what doesn't bless/help you might be an arch enemy.
So does our Environment.
Read this:
The following environmental factors impact your health in multiple ways:
1. Indoor air quality
Mold and dust can exacerbate and
contribute to the development of chronic conditions like asthma and allergies.
Secondhand smoke in homes and
workplaces poses a significant risk; in fact, the National Cancer Institute states that of the chemicals identified in secondhand smoke, more than 50 have been found to
cause cancer.
Poorly ventilated fireplaces and stoves contribute to your pulmonary disease risk.
Common construction materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) can cause asthma, and formaldehyde (also employed in homebuilding) can cause eye, nose, and throat irritation; wheezing and coughing; fatigue; skin rash; severe allergic reactions,
and possibly cancer.
2. Water quality
Water containing lead, often caused by the lead pipes used in older construction, can cause serious damage to the brain, kidneys, nervous system, and red blood cells.
Groundwater contamination occurs when man-made products such as gasoline, oil, road salts, and chemicals get into the groundwater and cause it to become unsafe
and unfit for human use.
Bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical often used in plastic water bottles, appears to mimic the effects of estrogen and may interfere with hormone levels and increase human risk for reproductive disorders.
3. Food source and quality
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) notes that long-term use of high levels of pesticides can cause birth
defects, nerve damage, and cancer.
Although the EPA carefully monitors
pesticide use, consumers should still be aware of potential risks.
Because their internal organs are still
developing, children can be more seriously affected by pesticide exposure.
Consuming fish with high mercury levels can have serious ramifications. Once industrial mercury enters a waterway,
naturally occurring bacteria absorb it and convert it to a form called methyl mercury.
When humans eat fish tainted with this mercury, it acts as a neurotoxin, interfering with the brain and nervous system.
Pregnant women and children are especially sensitive to mercury's effects. If your food travels more than you do, know that shipping produce worldwide creates air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions,
both potential health hazards.
4. Electromagnetic field exposure (EMF)
In 2011, the International Agency for
Research on Cancer, a component of the World Health Organization, classified radiofrequency fields as “possibly carcinogenic to humans,” based on limited evidence from human studies. American
organizations and governmental agencies, such as the National Institute of Environment Health Sciences and the National Cancer Institute, generally take the
position that the current scientific evidence has not conclusively linked radiofrequency fields--such as cell phones--with any adverse health problems, but that but more
research is needed.
5. Sights and sounds
Our home and work environments affect our emotional as well as our physical health.
Among other things, research reveals that our physical surroundings can increase or reduce our stress, which in turn impacts our bodies in multiple ways.
Noise can increase stress, which over the long term can lead to disorders as serious as heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke.
Visual “noise” increases stress. A cluttered, dirty, or confusing environment can cause us to feel worried, sad, or helpless.
By contrast, a “healing environment” can make us feel safe, pleasantly stimulated, and relaxed.
Worksite noise exposure is a leading cause of hearing loss.

Remember Health is wealth!!.
Do sanitation consecutively and often.

Ministry of health, Nigeria Plans Survey In Ekiti To Tackle Soil Transmitted Helminthes

by Olabajo Oluwatobiloba  |  in vitamin at  11:40 am

The Federal Ministry of Health in Nigeria is set to conduct a survey in Ekiti State to tackle Soil Transmitted Helminthes (SHT) among children in the south-west state.
Soil Transmitted Helminthes (STH), is a health condition caused by a group of worms which exist as parasites in the intestine of infected

The effect of STH include; Anaemia, Vitamin A deficiency, malnutrition, loss of appetite, retarded growth and reduction in learning ability.
STH is said to affect mostly young children.between the ages of five to 15 years living or playing in areas where sanitation is poor.
The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, urged teachers to cooperate with health officials who would be visiting schools to conduct the survey.

by Olabajo Oluwatobiloba  |  in insurance at  12:49 pm

Saw this on Ait news some day back. Didn't know it's already been launched so I read about this new Glo development and decided to post this here.
Total telecom solutions provider, Globacom, has unveiled a mobile Health insurance product to help boost Nigerians’ access to quality health care.
The mobile health insurance product was formally unveiled in Abuja on Monday by top.Globacom officials and senior officials of the.National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
Nigerians who subscribe to this scheme will be able to use their mobile phones for pre-defined medical treatment for which.affordable premiums are remitted through the subscribers’ mobile phones.
The platform also guarantees Globacom customers and other Nigerians free medical consultation and medication in over 8,000
hospitals in the country.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony in Abuja on Monday, Globacom’s Regional Chief
Marketing Officer, Mr. Ashok Israni, said the package was developed in partnership with the NHIS to take health care of millions of Nigerians through their telephone handsets.
“There are millions of Nigerians yet to tap into the immense benefits of health insurance. This initiative will open a viable avenue for some of
these people to come under the health insurance coverage, enabling them to sign up for one of the many Health Management Organisations accommodated in the scheme,” said Israni.
According to him, Glo subscribers are required to dial *616# on their mobile phones and be instantly admitted to the Glo Health platform, where they can follow a simple registration
process.
Israni said Globacom’s package comes with supply of drugs free of charge from NHIS accredited operators across the country for
subscribers who are consistent in the payment of their premiums.
He explained that the premiums have been deliberately made affordable for virtually everyone. He said subscribers can pay N35 per day, N250 per week or N1000 per month
to qualify to benefit from the mobile insurance package.
“We do not know when we will fall sick and require medical attention. The beauty of health insurance is that it takes away the burden of
worrying whether you will have any money left in your account or in your wallet when next you fall sick. With health insurance cover, anytime you fall sick, you can rest assured that you will have access to quality medical treatment even if you have nothing left in your wallet or in your bank account,” he said.
He said the product will go a long way in realizing the national objective of extending health insurance to Nigerians regardless of
their financial status or social class.
“Together with our partners, Salt & Einstein MTS and NHIS, Globacom is committed toachieving universal health coverage for all Nigerians within the shortest time possible,”
Israni concluded.
The Chairman of Salt and Einstein MTS, Engineer Ernest Ndukwe said the scheme will reduce the fear of the cost of health care among the populace. According to him, many
Nigerians are typically afraid of going to the hospital when they are ill, but with the product, that fear has been removed. He praised Globacom for its efforts in midwifing the scheme.
The Executive Secretary of NHIS, Dr. Femi Thomas, in his own remarks said that the beauty of the scheme is that the health care cost of one person is shared by all subscribers
such that the financial burden is virtually lifted off . He commended Globacom for providing its infrastructure for the project.
